Family Stories

Because of The Bundle of Joy Fund, IVF and the priceless gift of parenthood became possible. On January 15, 2023, Jasmine and Ryan welcomed their daughter, Arie Rose. - an answered prayer.

Jasmine and Ryan’s love story began in childhood. Married in 2014, they spent years growing up together, building a life, and were thrilled to begin their journey toward starting a family. In 2017, they stepped into that dream with full hearts and quiet confidence, never imagining how deeply infertility would test them.

Month after month, hope turned into heartbreak. Appointments replaced baby plans. Questions replaced certainty. After nearly two years, Jasmine received a PCOS diagnosis, and with it, the painful realization that growing their family would not be simple. What followed was an exhausting season of emotional strain, physical tolls, and financial fear—one that left them wondering how much more they could endure.

When they learned IVF was their best chance, the cost felt crushing. Despite having insurance, fertility treatments weren’t covered. Still, Jasmine and Ryan refused to let money decide their future. They worked extra jobs on top of full-time work and held onto the belief that somehow, some way, their story wasn’t over yet.

Then during what they thought was a routine appointment, Samantha surprised them with life-changing news: they were receiving an $18,000 grant from The Bundle of Joy Fund. For the first time in a long time, hope felt real.

Because of The Bundle of Joy Fund, IVF was possible and Fuller has siblings. - miracles multiplied.

Clair dreamed of becoming a mother for as long as she could remember. It was a calling she felt deeply, one she believes God placed on her heart when she was just a little girl. Dillon shared that dream just as strongly, often saying the only person who wanted to be a parent more than he did was his wife.

They were married in 2020 and immediately began trying to grow their family, full of hope and expectation. But month after month, year after year, hope was tested. What comes so naturally for so many felt heartbreakingly out of reach. The journey stretched on for three long years, marked by countless appointments, unanswered questions, and treatments that brought more disappointment than clarity.

Despite their determination, the emotional toll was heavy. Insurance considered the next steps "unnecessary," even as they were the only remaining path forward. IVF offered hope, but the cost was overwhelming. After already spending thousands on unsuccessful treatments, paying out of pocket with no guarantee of success felt impossible.

Still, Clair and Dillon never stopped dreaming. Clair longed to see Dillon become a father. Dillon pictured Clair carrying their child, rocking gently on the front porch as he pulled into the driveway after work. Asking for help was never part of the plan, but when they described the possibility of receiving a grant, they called it "life-changing."

In September 2022, on Clair's birthday, Clair and Dillon received The Bundle of Joy Fund grant. Nearly a year later, they welcomed their miracle, baby Fuller, followed by twin boys Jeremiah and Harvey two years later, forever changing their lives. Because of The Bundle of Joy Fund, IVF was possible and Fuller has siblings.

Because of The Bundle of Joy Fund, Kristen and Tomas received more than financial support – they received hope and the chance to build the family they always dreamed of. - hope realized.

Kristen and Tomas bonded early over their shared dream of building a family. They imagined parenthood as a natural next step, but instead of a baby, they were met with a diagnosis. The path forward was clear yet overwhelming: IVF offered their best chance to grow their family.

The cost, however, felt insurmountable. Despite Kristen's work as a North Carolina educator, IVF was not covered by insurance. Both Kristen and Tomas devoted their lives to serving others – Kristin as a teacher, and Tomas as a baseball instructor and coach, mentoring young athletes every day. Still, no amount of dedication could make IVF financially possible.

They were introduced to The Bundle of Joy Fund and applied, holding onto hope. In December 2023, that hope was met with an unforgettable surprise when Samantha presented them with a grant, surrounded by family, friends, and Tomas's baseball team. It was a moment of overwhelming gratitude and answered prayers.

The IVF journey that followed was intense – nightly injections, early-morning monitoring, ultrasounds, and bloodwork – but it was filled with compassion and support. On Leap Day, after their first embryo transfer, Kristin and Tomas received the call that changed everything: they were pregnant.

In October 2024, Kristin and Tomas welcomed their daughter, Capri, into the world. She is cherished by her entire family and has already brought immeasurable joy. Because of The Bundle of Joy Fund, Kristen and Tomas received more than financial support – they received hope and the chance to build the family they always dreamed of.

Thanks to The Bundle of Joy Fund, Bridgette and Matthew's family dream has become a reality – giving their daughter not one, but two brothers. - a family complete.

Bridgette and Matthew had always dreamed of building a family. Married in 2014, it took over a year for them to conceive naturally, and the joy of seeing their first positive pregnancy test was unforgettable. But that joy was short-lived – just days later, Bridget began miscarrying. The devastation was profound. Months later, they became pregnant again. In May 2018, they welcomed their daughter Savannah – a true blessing.

When she was nine months old, Bridget and Matthew hoped to give her a sibling. What followed was one of the most difficult journeys of their lives. After multiple miscarriages and relentless testing, they learned that IVF was their only option. The cost was overwhelming, and their insurance offered no coverage. For a time, it seemed the dream of giving their daughter a sibling might never come true.

Amid their struggle, they applied for The Bundle of Joy Fund grant. While the application was the first glimmer of hope they had in years, they received devastating news – none of their eggs had survived their latest IVF cycle. Just when despair threatened to take over, their nurse shared some unexpected hope: they had been selected for The Bundle of Joy Fund grant.

With the grant, Bridget and Matthew were able to pursue IVF again. That cycle was successful, and they welcomed their son, Lane. Thanks to The Bundle of Joy Fund, Bridgette and Matthew's family dream has become a reality – giving their daughter not one, but two brothers and creating a family filled with hope, love, and joy they had once feared impossible.
